Staying in stillness
According to some calculations I ran this morning, I've moved every six months on average for the past 13 years.
I knew I'd moved around a lot, but from a mathematical perspective it's truly striking. I really have been a nomad, not as a hot new trend of the digital age, but just de facto.
So what I've been learning for these past couple of years is how to stay put.
How to rest. How to sit down. How to remain still. How to do the same things every day. How to explore boredom.
Boredom is an interesting concept. That we can feel bored in the face of so much content is astonishing.
Are we truly bored, or is there something else we mask with boredom?
